Pentax trained Survey Team, Managed Panel Survey, conducted Baseline Survey, provided Input for Mid-Term Review and conducted Final Evaluation. (2009)

The key objective of this assignment was to provide Monitoring and Reporting (M&R) Capacity Building and Technical Assistance (TA) services to MiDA’s Implementing Entities (IEs). (2009)
Development of Monitoring and Evaluation Strategy/System to Track the Output, Outcome and Impact of the Urban Poverty Reduction Project (UPRP). Pentax, among other things, developed questionnaire and conducted survey on the beneficiaries at the National and Sub-national levels, developed an appropriate M&E indicators for the project, conducted and established Socio-economic baseline surveys of the indicators for the project, developed Monitoring and Evaluation Plans for the 12 Local Authorities (MMDAs) under the project; assessed the Capacity of institutions involved in the project’s implementation and developed specific M&E capacity building Modules for stakeholders’ training in M&E and conducted Mid-term Evaluation of project interventions. Mid Term Evaluation of LOGO SOUTH Ghana Country Programme for VNG International, The Hague- Pentax undertook Primary and Secondary data collection in each of the participating districts and analyzed data and made concrete conclusions and recommendations regarding the Programme content, Partnership set up, Impact and Participatory design phase of the LOGO South Country Programme for Ghana. (2005-2008)
Designed and developed a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework, Plan and Computerised database system for the Financial Sector Strategic Plan (FINSSP) in Ghana. Pentax conducted a baseline survey that documented indicators, output, outcomes and means of verification and/or measurement of performance and impact of the FINSSP strategies, Reviewed the existing reporting relationship between FINSSP Secretariat and the Implementation Agencies, designed and implemented a comprehensive system on issues relevant to stakeholders including FINSSP Secretariat, conducted a baseline survey and documented indicators, output, outcomes and means of verification and/or measurement of performance and impact of the FINSSP strategies and trained the staff of FINSSP Secretariat and Implementation Agencies on the designed computerized database. Monitoring & Evaluation Programme for Promoting Partnership with Traditional Authorities Project (Asanteman PPTAP). Pentax conducted a baseline survey of seventeen (17) MMDAs in Ashanti Region of Ghana, designed the Monitoring & Evaluation System with stakeholders
Collected, Collated, Analyzed and Interpreted the baseline data in project communities and installation of MIS at Project Secretariat, trained selected stakeholders in data collection, collation, analysis, interpretation, process store and retrieve and management of information via computer based Management Information System and prepared Mid-Term evaluation report on findings and make recommendations. Terminal Evaluation of the 5-Year USD298m Capital Investment Programme of Work for the Ministry of Health, Ghana. Pentax reviewed the internal management processes with the Ministry of Health itself, and at the various levels of headquarters, Region and District and undertook a Joint Ministry of Health/Donor follow-up and monitoring visits to Budget and management Centres to assess progress in the collection and compilation of the required data and to identify and report on constraints affecting the quality and completeness of the data and other qualitative information required. Evaluation and End-of-Project Assessment of the Small and Micro Enterprise Project Fund (SMEPF) administered by Participating Financial Institutions for Gesellschaft fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)/National Board for Small-Scale Industries (NBSSI). Pentax conducted field visits to each Participating Financial Institution (PFI) to evaluate actions taken on client applications, evaluated decisions taken on requests, Business Development Services (BDS) needs to be identified and obstacles faced by the Participating Financial Institutions PFIs on application processing and prepared Final evaluation report with recommendations for measures that could improve lending methods or procedures for Participating Financial Institutions.
Mid Term Evaluation of Micro-SMART Project for Care International Ghana using six (6) Rural Banks in the Brong-Ahafo and Western Regions of Ghana. The banks were; Ahantaman Rural Bank, Amenfiman Rural Bank, Bogoso Area Rural Bank, Nsoatreman Rural Bank Ltd, Nkoranman Rural Bank Ltd and Kintampo Rural Bank Ltd.
Terminal Evaluation of RUWA Women Banking Project for the Catholic Relief Services in the Upper East Region of Northern Ghana. Pentax performed the following tasks; Undertook a terminal evaluation of the Catholic Relief Services funded RUWA Village Women Banking Project, which was implemented in three (3) Districts in the Upper East Region namely; Kassena Nankena, Builsa and Bongo Districts.
